Weak and imbalanced muscles, reduced flexibility, poor posture and misalignment of the joints can all cause pain. Pain can lead to compensatory, improper movements that can then lead to worse pain, if not further injury. Injuries and pain can have quite a negative impact on our lives on both a mental and a physical level.
The exercises within the studio are low-impact so the joints won’t be put under undue stress, creating an active, yet positive movement experience.
A lot of factors contribute to muscle imbalances in the body, for example the way you walk, sit, bend, lift, sleep, run and work out. Pilates teaches you how to position your body for optimal alignment and efficiency in movement in order to help prevent the re-aggravation of an old injury or the development of a new one.
When injury or chronic pain impairs movement or performance you deserve
customised, adaptable solutions to meet your needs.
