Due to the one-sided nature of some sports and activities the body can, on occasion, become misaligned. Proper form is frequently neglected, and speed and momentum are used as a way of compensating for a lack of strength.


Studio Pilates aims for muscular strength on all sides of your body; no specific muscle is overdeveloped or underdeveloped and any muscular imbalance is addressed and 

corrected.


Studio Pilates will: -

  • work muscles you’ve never worked before.
  • strengthen the deeper muscles, the core muscles.
  • strengthen the muscles around the hip, pelvis, lower back and abdominals so that they work in unison and distribute the load.
  • improve flexibility and agility, balance and physical coordination
  • improve/increase muscular control through slow and precise movements 
  • educate you to position your body for maximum results no matter the activity


Pilates does have a focus on core strength but it also trains the body as an integrated whole and is taught according to the needs and considerations of each and every client.


Such a well-rounded form of exercise means that Studio Pilates is accessible to all, whether you’re a senior just starting to exercise or an experienced athlete.
